About Me

Thank you for taking the time to visit my site and read a bit about me!

Personal:  I am a Wife and Mom of 3 amazing kids, and 1 rescue doggy and two rescue kitties (full, loud house!). I have lived here in McFarland since I was in 4th grade, and am so happy to be raising my family here (despite what my teenage self would have thought!) I have a huge sweet tooth, obsessed with Rocky's pizza and hate vegetables (yes, pretty much all of them. Weird, I know). I also love watching my kids in their activities and exploring the outdoors with my family. I love talking about motherhood and our individual journeys with other women. And talking, I just love talking and getting to know people. :)

Professional: I lived in Milwaukee for 5 years earning my Master's Degree in Architecture (and meeting my amazing husband!) before moving back to McFarland and working at an architecture firm for 5 years. In 2010 I chose to follow my passion for photography and left architecture. Photography has always had a special place in my heart, I was an art major my freshman year of college and even worked at Sears Portrait Studio around that time too (over 20 years ago already, whoa!). Photography allows me the creativity that I crave while also connecting with people and having more flexibility with my own family. Laughing and playing with kids, snuggling sleepy babies, it just doesn't get any better!  Over the years I have taken multiple workshops and courses to help educate me in not just the technical aspects of photography but also safety, especially when it comes to newborn sessions.

My photography: I first and foremost want to connect with everyone, have a relaxed environment and have fun!! I work hard to get real smiles and a mix of posed and playful images. I want to provide you with a gallery of images that pull at your heart strings, make you laugh and images you want to put up big on your walls! I am a natural light photographer, but also have a studio light in the studio when needed. I have a wonderful studio right in McFarland filled with lot's of props and accessories. I definitely bring my own style of photography to my work, but I also find it just as important to capture your style in those photos too!

Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or would like to set up a session!
